Hi David Pendragon here. I run an open plan studio that specializes in acoustic music, mixing and album mastering. I have several albums credited to my name and I have been an engineer/producer for over 35 years. My new equipment is state of the art and available for live and mobile recordings as well as in house studio recordings. You can connect with me on 02 62874541 or at david.pendragon@yahoo.com.au
SonicLight Music Production is also very good. They provide studio and location recording, mixing and mastering services. They are friendly and experienced, produce high quality work and are also flexible on pricing. http://www.soniclight.com.au
Puzzle Factory Sound Studio is great – http://www.puzzlefactory.com.au
The guy who runs it is friendly, very particular about quality and flexible on prices. He just mixed the latest Sleep Makes Waves album, and from what I know he does a variety of genres. He is based in the inner north but is super mobile and can record in different settings.
If you are on Facebook, checkout the Canberra Musicians page, we asked the same questions not too long ago and got some great reviews and responses. I guess it comes down to exactly what you want to record and your budget.

Tru Sound Music in north Canberra. http://www.trusoundmusic.com/
Have used them on several occassions for both recording and sound purposes. They’ve recorded my band, has good prices, and produce great results!
The owner (Dene), is able to organise for off-site recording or in the studio – whichever you prefer.
Highly recommend them.
