Restoring faith in society

I had a very pleasant experience at Bunnings the other day.

I am currently completely renovating the back end of my house and needed a set of acroprops to assist in holding the roof up whilst I redesign the windows. Unfortunately my normal source of acroprops was already using them to hold up a water tank hence my trip to the hardware store to see if they sold them.

I was approached by one of the staff members who I questioned about the availability of said acroprops. I was informed by the staff member that bunnings didn’t stock them although he had a set he could lend me. How good is that for service?

I had never met the staff member before and its good to see that people a not so insular that they will not lend a helping hand.

I’ve asked for help in Bunnings before, quite a few times. Never had anything less than good, knowledgeable, helpful service. Two thumbs up.

Lets not get carried away here – Kudos to that dude, not the entire franchise! I doubt that extra customer service is encouraged by his boss.

I asked for help in Bunnings yesterday, it was like banging my head against a shoddily made brick wall.

Thumper, looked at yourself in a mirror lately?

People aren’t so bad. I stopped on the parkway the other morn and lent my phone to a bloke who had locked himself out of his car after stopping to take a photo of the tower through the fog and I was the second car to stop (the other didn’t have a phone with them).

Not sure if I’d lend a stranger tools though, not that I even know what a acroprop is!
