A 25-year-old Richardson man is receiving medical treatment after three men allegedly broke into his home and assaulted him earlier this morning (Wednesday, April 11).

Just after 2 am, the man was woken by three men pulling him out of bed and hitting him repeatedly with baseball bats.

The man was then bound with cable ties and tape as the three men stole a television, mobile phone and the man’s car.

The car was later located burnt out in Rohan Street, Richardson.

The victim received a fractured hand and possibly has a fractured skull, along with some minor injuries.

ACT Policing Criminal Investigations Detectives are investigating the incident.

Anyone who may be able to assist with the investigation is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.

I wonder what this wake-up service costs? Seems much more effective than the crappy digital alarm clock I’ve been using.

I wonder if they have a snooze function.

you’d need a pretty big baseball bat!

I’d bet a lot of money that this wasn’t a random crime carried out by people that didn’t know the victim. It has all the hallmarks of a payback of some sort.
I wonder if they’ll visit him in hospital like the bikies tend to do?
