So, what lessons did Round 3 teach?

First – make sure you are looking at the right league. Stuart’s Tommahawks slaughtered me and that gimmie match was in another league. I scored a shocking 1,674 with Beau Waters injury “during the warm up” giving me a doughnut with no emergency named in the back line.

Second Lesson – you are allowed four emergencies. Use them.

GWS’s Patton scored 15 before his knee injury. North’s Petrie scored a mere 34 (and cost $31,900 on price drop as a result).

Trades: Patton out for Neade at Port (fingers crossed no green vest), and Kommer out for Viney.

Okay, so Round 1 saw me score 1,783 with Ryder and Armstrong the problem children, with Ryder traded out for rookie Sam Rowe in the forward line and Armstrong for Gibbs to try to shore up the defenders.

I should have been a little more careful with that – with Essendon slaughtering Melbourne in round 2, Ryder went on to score 86 while Rowe only brought in 59 in the hard fought game against Collingwood.

In the end though, Round 2 wasn’t a total loss with a score of 1,926.

Moving in to Round 3, I’ve only seen the need for one change – dropping North Melbourne’s Ben Jacobs out of my defense and picking up Dyson Heppell instead.

I’ve scored 400 off 6 players from the first two games. Damn Patrick Ryder of Essendon failed to live up to his price (465k) and delivered a lousy 45 points.

We don’t have a full league yet guys – remember you can be a member of the RiotAct league as well as your workplace/mates league with capacity to be in up to 5 leagues!
