A Canberra sonic institution is set for a grand return this week as Soundscapes takes over Smith’s Alternative again for its 46th iteration. Head down on Wednesday night to catch an all-star lineup of local ambient, experimental, and generally left-of-field artists in Fossil Rabbit, Hannah de Feyter and Reuben Ingall’s Microwave Drone Ritual. Not to be missed.
Saturday night will see Ryland Newstead & The MCGs playing their final set together at sideway alongside Napolean Ice Cream and Absent Ace Tone.
Across town at Gang Gang, Eden Plenty will be sharing songs from his forthcoming album in an intimate preview session on Saturday night.
