Australian percussionist, composer and sound artist Matthias Schack-Arnott will bring the work of John Cage to the Llewellyn Hall stage this week for The Cage Project, presented in partnership with Musica Viva. He’ll be joined on Friday night by acclaimed French pianist Cédric Tiberghien as they interpret Cage’s ‘Sonatas and Interludes’.

The original teenage dirtbags, Wheatus, will return to Canberra this week. Catch frontman Brendan B Brown on Friday night at The Baso performing acoustic versions of the band’s back catalogue, including their unforgettable aforementioned megahit (relive it below).

Monday evening will see a trio of local artists taking to the stage at Smith’s Alternative. Head down to catch sets from Twin Single, Alison Procter and Mesa as part of Local Gold.
