If you haven’t caught Canberra bedroom pop sensation Sesame Girl live yet, you’ll have the chance to change that come Friday. The four-piece will be performing an intimate streamed set from the iconic Canberra Theatre stage as part of Canberra Theatre Centre’s CTC at Home series. Fans of Mac Demarco and Clairo will love the hazy, dreamlike sounds this band cultivates.

An all-local lineup of rock and psychedelic bands is set to hit sideway, the upstairs bar on East Row this Sunday. The Narcissists, HYG and Flash Anthem will all return from COVID-related live hiatuses to rock out in front of the iconic Sydney Building window. Grabbing presale tickets is encouraged.

While you’re at it, why not make an evening of it? Head to the Old Canberra Inn beforehand to hear exceptionally talented singer-songwriter Kim Yang performing from 3:00 pm.

Saturday night sees Lisa Richards celebrating the release of her new single ‘Dominoes’ at Smith’s Alternative. The track is the second taste we’ve heard from Richards’ forthcoming album I got a Story, recorded late last year in New York.
