Australian rock icons are coming thick and fast this week, kicking off with Jebediah and You Am I who share headliner duties at The Basement on Thursday night.

We’re in for a busy week at The Playhouse as well with Paul Dempsey, Katie Noonan and Jon Stevens all taking to the stage this weekend. The latter two are stepping outside their respective norms with Noonan performing alongside the Australian String Quartet and Stevens showcasing his favourite Noiseworks and INXS cuts.

On Saturday, Canberra indie pop upstarts ARCHIE launch their latest (and firstest!) single ‘Stranger Danger’ to what is set to be a packed-out Transit Bar. Their bright guitar pop is sometimes jangly, sometimes angular, but always fun and bouncy. Swedish band Greenleaf hit the stage on Thursday night as a warm-up, and Flash Anthem begin their residency at the underground venue on Wednesday.

Elsewhere, beloved Canberra rapper KG hits sideway on Friday as part of his national EP Tour, while singer-songwriter Greta Stanley is joined by Cathy Diver and Hope Wilkins for a free-entry show at UC Hub on Saturday night.
