I had one of these “beers” on the weekend because in the dark at a party I mistook it for a James Squires of some variety as I reached into the ice filled laundry tub. Greater mistakes have seldom been made.

Mine starts with little creatures pale ale. I shan’t try this stuff though, I’m suspicious that it’s actually bottled Shandies, 4X and passiona.

I have been subjected to it before. I assure you that it there are far better beers out there including:

Had a few of these in Qld over the Christmas/New Year period. It was quite refreshing mainly because it was stinking hot, humid and the beer was ice ice cold. Tried one a couple of weeks ago here and it tasted bleaagh, so whether Queenlanders reserve the nicer tasting stuff for themselves and send us runoff from the flood waters, who knows, but it was definatley a different taste to what I drank in the north.

I wanted to ask, what is that stuff like? I’ve seen it cheap in Coles, but it looked suspiciously like that watery low carb nonsense that has been appearing of late.

Maybe they were getting it for free?
