Point Hut was open yesterday (11/12/2010) with the water just under the bridge – it almost felt like you were driving on top of the river.

This list makes me wonder, if some of the road lead to other roads which are also listed as blocked, do they actually go to all the trouble of putting barricades at those other roads? Do the rangers actually venture through flood waters to block Honeysuckle and Orroral when they block the road at Tharwa anyway?

The other day you could still drive down to the crossing from the urriarra side. Should still be able too.

My first post I was thinking of apollo rd, and the fact that baroomba and orroral ridge were both listed separately.

Lilli – The other day saw a vehicle squeeze through a gap at the closure gates on Coppins Crossing, via Uriarra Road. There is an area you can park to the left of the gates and its a short stroll down to the crossing.

p1, I’m more of a visual person so forgive me if this falls into the category you just mentioned, but if Coppins Crossing is inaccessible from William Hovell Drive, would you be able to access the crossing from Uriarra Road? I have fond memories of visiting when I was younger and the water was just under the road and would love to see it again while there is actually water flowing!

I love the fact that they separately list roads which are impossible to get to, as the only roads which access them are also on the list.
