Territory and Municipal Services are warning that they’re going to be out planting along the arterial roads.

“This project will see dead shrubs and shrubs in advanced stages of decline removed and replaced
with approximately 1,200 new shrubs and trees in the next two to three years as part of the One
Million Trees initiative,” said Jane Carder, Place Management, Parks and City Services.

“We are committed to preserving the amenity of these open spaces. This work will also enhance
safety outcomes by removing shrubs causing line of site issues and declining roadside shrubs that
are more susceptible to wind damage.”

Planting has already commenced along Drakeford Drive. Work will also take place along the
following arterial roads:

— Athllon Drive
— Erindale Drive
— Isabella Drive
— Ashley Drive
— Monaro Highway
— Streeton Drive
— Yamba Drive
— Ginninderra Drive
— Parkes Way
— Federal Highway
— Coulter Drive
— Kingsford Smith Drive
— Southern Cross Drive
— Haydon Drive.
