Australian Aviation is reporting that its parent company, Phantom Media, has bought up the assets of Canberra’s Business Communications Group (Busicom).

Possibly most notable the venerable Inside Canberra and its even more venerable Rob Chalmers is being handed over as part of the sale.

Rob’s been with Inside Canberra since 1957.

Australian Defence Business Review is also being taken over by the aviation community.

Here’s what Phantom had to say:

“All these publications provide high value-added analysis and commentary of Australian political, national security and new military capability development and acquisition affairs,” said Phantom Media managing director Gerard Frawley. “They are a natural fit with Australian Aviation’s positioning as Australia’s highest selling aviation and aerospace publication. The acquisition of the Busicom titles will become the cornerstone of an expanded Phantom Media presence across the aviation, aerospace, defence and national security spheres.”
