A man came close to being shot by an arrow in Rivett reports the AFP.

(left) photo illustration [dramatised reconstruction?] of offender 🙂

“Around 2.20 pm the victim was mowing parkland between Goodenia Street and Themeda Place in Rivett when he heard a noise from the front of his ride-on lawn mower.

Upon investigating the noise he found a carbon fibre arrow had hit the front of the mower and bounced off.

A young male was observed standing approximately 30 meters away holding an archery bow and staring at the victim. The offender ran off towards Goodenia Street.”

“The youth is described as Caucasian, approximately 5’6” (168cm) tall, about 15-years-old, with a slim build and wearing a dark brown jumper.

Police would urge anyone who may have witnessed this incident or may know the identity of the offender to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.” – from AFP Media Release

Was the guy mowing parkland a ‘council’ worker or just some old guy with a ride on who cant actually use it in his own house so decided to mow the whole suburb?

I reckon the complainant was really mowing at 6:00 am (as do many Canberra gardeners) in which case an arrow across his broadside is completly warranted.

Hey, isn’t that the Chaser’s Andrew Hansen avec beard? A distinct resemblance, methinks.

lol it does look like you put alot of time into that pic.. This is an every day thing in the creek. Yeah thats what im thinking BigDave or he Acquired it from a “B&E”

You can bet your arse that the moron in question is a customer of that archery store at Holder shops. Perhaps the guy should take a description down there and see if it rings a bell with anyone.

“I actually looked at the clock when i started and again when I finished. It only took 6 minutes including sourcing images (Google images), pasting into photoshop and blending the images with the soft eraser brush and Wacom Intuos 3 tablet.

The “photo illustration” is a phrase often used by Time Mgazine. They are known for changing images (OJ Simpson in 94 had thiner eyes in Time) and even fabricating images (fake iceberg last year). They either don’t say it is altered or state it is a “photo illustration”.

— I was using a computer at the National Library and though I logged on. Why is my username different?

Looks like he stole the bent waffle artwork from outside the front of the theatre too!

I hope you didn’t spend as much time on that pic as it looks like.
