ROC loses the international leg

It’s a shame that we have lost the APRC side of things, but I agree with giving some free spectator points like they did on the friday night in 2007. There was much more people out there that freezing friday night, than there was out in Kowen this year when we were competing

peterh, you’re dead right. Victor Bray in full flight was a sensation that every human should experience at least once in their life, even on the 1/8 mile at Fairbairn. Same as the V8s. I always loved watching Radisich and Murphy (both left-foot brakers) coming around the esses near Parliament House.

I never got into rallying, but the speedway at Fraser many years ago was also something special. I do remember the Millen Brothers at rallying, especially Rod, when I was young. They are now big in the US as “sliders”. Thumper might also remember these blokes.

We’re all the losers for another motorsport event vacatinng the ACT calender.

By losing the international aspect of the event, the organisers should save a ton of money on the licencing fee with the FIA which can hopefully be reinvested into making the event thrive again.

I reckon rallying is the purest form of motorsport.

Well done ACT Government! Shame they propped it up for as long as they did.

The Liberals irk me when they come out with crap like their current stance. The ACT Government didn’t kill the rally, a complete lack of sustainable and profitable interest killed it. That’s sad but there is no point throwing good money after bad when we have so many things of much greater importance that the Government SHOULD be looking after.
