A 30-year-old man was injured and his car windscreen was damaged after an object struck his vehicle early this morning (Tuesday, August 2).
Around 4.30am, the man was driving southbound along Parkes Way when an object, believed to be a lump of concrete, struck his vehicle as he was travelling under the footbridge between Allara Street and Commonwealth Park.
The object shattered the vehicle’s windscreen, forcing the driver to stop his car on Parkes Way. The man received treatment for a small cut to his head by paramedics at the scene.
The man told police he saw two teenage males on the bridge around the time of the incident. One of the males was wearing a dark coloured “hoodie” jumper.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or saw two teenage males near Parkes Way around 4.30am today to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
