Rollerderby a hit at the AIS as our Vice City Rollers smash the Sydney Assassins

D-eye has kindly sent in pictures from last night’s rollerderby grudge match at a heaving AIS Arena where Canberra’s Vice City Rollers took down the Sydney Assassins 153-95.

Congratulations to all involved!

Wow, looks like the game pulled a bigger crowd than the Cannons ever did in their final years

I’m pretty sure the wheel marks will just buff out.

And having said my bit above…

Congrats to the VC girls! I can see this becoming one of the great derbies, to rival Manchester City vs. United, the Merseyside ‘ton vs. the ‘pool, Collingwood vs. Carlton/Essendon, the Roaches vs the Toads. This, and Canb. Utd. still unbeaten in the W-League, made it a good weekend sports-wise.
