That is hardly close to houses & if you think there are no brown snakes in any of the parks or in the suburbs you probably need to get out ther & have another look. We live in a low density city with loads of parkland. We live with the wildlife.
Also, for all the scaremongering about snakes, very few people are bitten every year. They do not go around chasing you & will really only bite if they have no other choice.

If I were you, I would stop being worried & actually get out there & understand them.

How do you interest the Rangers in removing a live brown snake to any destination apart from one’s backyard!! They told me the one I came face to face with was ”probably just passing through’ and did not warrant any action at all.

Gee, they’re improving. This time it only took them two days to recycle a story from RA. Usually they don’t do the cut and paste until almost a week later.

I hope it was a case of road kill, and not low-life scum taking their jolly’s at shooting our wildlife.

I might start going for walks up there again, just to keep an eye out.
