Frieda is waiting around at the Shelter to find the purr-fect home.

Meet our lovable ‘Pets of the Week’ that are looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

This week, say hello to the lovely Jasmine and sweet but simple Frieda.

Cat of the Week – Frieda

Meet our Cat of the Week Frieda!

Frieda came into our Shelter extremely scared and a very inexperienced cat. After some love and dedication from our staff and volunteers, she’s ready to find her forever home.

Frieda can be intimidated by large open spaces, including her Shelter enclosure.

She has made huge improvements recently with this, so will need a slow introduction to her new home to ensure that Frieda is comfortable and feels safe.

Frieda will do almost anything for a chin scratch, and the more affection she receives, the more confident and affectionate she becomes.

Frieda’s ideal home will be simple, with a set routine and no other pets or children around.

This girl would be the perfect pet for a gentle soul who is in need of some loving companionship.

Frieda’s new family would ideally have some previous cat experience. So if you think you could be the purr-fect match for Frieda, come and speak to our staff.

Sweetheart Jasmine is looking for someone to love!

Dog of the Week – Jasmine

This week’s Dog of the Week is Jasmine! A BIG softy who has a lot of love to give when the right family comes along.

Jasmine was found earlier this year wandering the streets and was brought to our Shelter as a stray.

She can be a little cautious of unfamiliar surroundings and new people, but once warmed up and out of her shell has plenty of personality to share.

Jasmine is on the lookout for someone with no other dogs at home, and plenty of time and attention to help build her confidence in this world.

Jasmine is a sweet (but slobbery) soul, who will require short daily walks and plenty of scratches.

Anyone interested in adopting Jasmine should thoroughly research her Neapolitan Mastiff breed before applying.

We recommend that Jasmine find a family with children eight years and older. Please remember all interactions between children and dogs/pups should be monitored.

Visit us at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston ACT 2611 and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
