Meet our lovable pets of the week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!
Twix the dog and Pudda the cat are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These lovely animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below!
Dog of the week: Twix
This little Staffordshire Bull Terrier comes with a “Naaaaaaw” guarantee – that’s the noise you’ll make, several times a day if you adopt her.
Twix arrived as a stray and was initially fairly cautious and shy. But over time (she’s been here more than 50 days now) she’s grown affectionate towards her walkers and carers.
The “Naaaaaw’ part comes from Twix’s bedtime. She’s already had a litter of puppies and she takes her toys to bed with her and snuggles into them. See? You said it, didn’t you?
Her new home will need a good fence and for you to be patient with her as she gets comfortable. She’ll obviously need her toys too, she is a beautiful little soul who will quickly grow into a cherished family member. Come and meet Twix today.
Cat of the week: Pudda
Pudda is a delightful but cautious Domestic Short Hair who’s not very impressed with the idea of staying in our shelter over Christmas.
He’s a pretty relaxed boy but the other cats in our shelter make him uncomfortable, to get Pudda at his best he needs to be the man of the house, so other pets or children aren’t going to mix well with this guy.
When he settles in, he is a sweetheart, he’ll come to you and bow his head before giving you the obligatory, “How-about-a-pat?” headbutt.
He will bond nicely with a couple, as long as he’s the only cat. He’s a delightful boy, if you come and visit him, you’ll soon agree.
Visit RSPCA ACT today at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life. You won’t regret it!
