Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Bob and Gustavo are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.

Dog of the Week – Bob

Meet Bob. He’s a lovely older dog looking for a companion. Bob enjoys the quiet life with a little daily walk thrown in the mix. You’ll find Bob quite content when he’s curled up on the couch with you, receiving a scratch behind the ears.

Bob has had training in his previous life and understands rules and instructions well, which has impressed the team at the shelter with his abilities.

Bob appears to be quite settled when he’s left alone and comes in gently for a bit of a pat before he settles down for an afternoon snooze in the sunshine. He also loves playing a game of fetch and will return the ball to you with ease, on repeat.

Bob is reactive with other dogs, so he would be best suited as an only dog in a household. However, he will be a great friend to anyone looking for a laid-back canine companion.

Gustavo

Gustavo wants to start a new chapter.

Cat of the Week – Gustavo

Gustavo, also known as Gus, came into the shelter as a very battered and scarred cat who was aloof with the team, but it only took him a few days to settle in and he quickly became a lovely boy.

Gustavo has become very food focused, and this is the way to his heart for his new family. He loves a good chin, head and back scratch. Once he is settled into with his family he will be a cat to follow the family around with his soft and sweet meow, which is a surprising sound to come out of a big cat like him.

Gustavo can still be quite shy, cautious and nervous, especially in new environments, though he would thrive in a calm and relaxed household. He contracted FIV In his previous life as a stray, and because of this and his battle scars he will be suited to living as an indoor cat.

If you’re looking for a special companion, look no further than our boy Gustavo.

Visit the RSPCA at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
