Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Daisy and Maia are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.

Dog of the Week – Daisy

Daisy is a special and loveable girl who is now looking for the perfect people to bring her into their family.

Daisy didn’t get the best start in life, nor did she get a lot of stability. However, after some love, compassion and dedication from the team, she has come a long way and is thriving. She is a chatty girl in the kennels, but the moment you take her out into the yards, she calms down and is thrilled to be around her people.

Daisy walks beautifully on the lead and is quite responsive when you give her instructions. Even though she loves her walking time, we would love to see her homed with people who are home more often than not as Daisy is a bit of a lounge lizard.

If you are looking for a dog that will be a perfect loving companion, look no further than our sweet girl Daisy.

Rabbit

Little Miss Maia.

Rabbit of the Week – Maia

Little Maia was brought into the shelter as a stray animal. Once she settled in with the team, we saw her personality shine through. Any adopter will need to give her time in her new home, and she will happily come out for treats, attention and some pats.

At four years of age, Maia has become older and wiser and has the big sister bossy energy to show it. She would be great as an only rabbit, though she could do well with a desexed male rabbit.

She would make a wonderful companion for anyone who has the time to socialise her and give her lots of love and affection. She would suit living as an indoor rabbit, especially in the colder months where she can live comfortably and warm, though she would be thrilled with an outdoor run in the warmer months.

If you have been thinking about adding a smaller animal to your home, look no further than a lovely rabbit like Maia. She is looking forward to meeting her companion and leaving the shelter.

Visit the RSPCA at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
