Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Nibbles and Wade are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.

Ferret of the Week – Nibbles

Nibbles is a cute little ferret that found her way to RSPCA as a stray and is looking for a forever home.

While adorable Nibbles may be cute and adorable to look at, she is certainly in need of some training. Unfortunately, she will not be suitable for any first time ferret owner. This little lady is seeking someone with plenty of experience, who is comfortable handling a ferret that is a little bitey.

Nibbles is sweet, energetic and absolutely loves to cause a bit of mischief. This cheeky lady is in need a large, fun-filled enclosure or home with plenty of enrichment to make sure she keeps occupied.

In order to adopt Nibbles, you will need to obtain a licence to keep a ferret in the ACT from Territory and Municipal Services. Individuals interested in adoption must show evidence of holding the current relevant licence.

Nibbles cannot wait to meet her new family and hopes someone with the right experience will love her forever!

Dog of the Week – Wade

Handsome fellow Wade is a young fellow, nearly two years old, who is very timid with new people. He is very unsure about himself around other dogs and would suit a home where he can be the only pet in your life.

Wade’s face wears the scars of a tough time in the past. However, this charming boy is ready to put his trust into a new, loving and patient owner. Like most dogs, he is looking for an active family ready to take him on daily walks and games to help build his confidence and keep him happy and healthy.

Due to Wade’s past, we recommend his new family have no children, and all interactions with children be monitored by an adult.

Wade is looking for a patient owner who is willing to take time to allow him to bond and trust his new family. It will be important that things go at his own pace to help him become the confident dog we know he can be.

Visit the RSPCA at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
