Winnie doesn’t like Shelter life very much. Can you give her a home?
Meet our lovable ‘Pets of the Week’ looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!
This week, say hello to the sweet pooch Winnie, and playful kitten Moose.
Dog of the Week – Winnie
While some of the animals at the Shelter find life here quick and breezing, this isn’t always the case for everyone. Winnie is one of the animals that hasn’t found life at the Shelter all that pleasant.
Winnie is a sweet-souled dog who longs to be a loving companion and would make the ultimate cuddly couch potato. This gorgeous girl is one big sweetheart who wants nothing more than a home and a person to call her own.
Loud noises from the other Shelter dogs trouble Winnie. So a calm and quiet house with a comfy bed, some yummy treats and someone to relax with would be the dream life for this big pup.
Winnie’s time at the Shelter has been filled with loving scratches, short strolls with our volunteers every other day, and the occasional stuffed toy (which Winnie absolutely loves to ‘de-stuff’).
Winnie really needs someone to give her a chance. She’s a middle-aged pup with plenty of love to share.
We recommend Winnie for a family with children eight years and older. Please remember that all interactions between children and dogs/pups should be monitored.

Little Moose and his brothers came to the Shelter earlier this year and now they need a home!
Cat of the Week – Moose
Moose is currently one of the coolest kitties on the block here at RSPCA ACT. He’s a bit shy, a little nervous, but each day he gains more and more confidence to come out of his shell.
Moose arrived at our Shelter with his brothers earlier this month. The little kittens were slightly overwhelmed by domestic life, so we decided the best way to help them would be with time in our foster program. Thanks to their dedicated foster family, the little kittens had a wonderful time learning to socialise, and received lots of love, kisses and cuddles.
The little group are now ready to find their forever homes, and will need plenty of time and love to settle in and get to know their new family.
Moose absolutely loves to play with his brothers, test new toys in his enclosure and chases anything that moves. He doesn’t mind being patted when his ‘crazy mode’ is off, but he still is wary when things move too quickly about him.
Moose and his siblings are looking for kind and patient homes, preferably without young children. If you have the space in your heart for a sweet boy like Moose, visit our Shelter.
Visit us at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston ACT 2611 and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
