Help needed.

Air conditioner (climate control) does not work. No air comes from the vents. I need to get it checked and repaired.

Which garage in Canberra is good at SAAB? Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance!

I sold my Saab 900 about 8 years ago, but when I had it the guys at Canberra Continental motors in Fyshwick took good care of it. I dunno if they’re still in business or not, but they were good mechanics, and honest.

Try Total Traction Services at Belconnen. They took over from George Strzlecki and (I think) still specialize in SAAB repairs.

I believe the 95 Saab Gripen would be better flown to a ground maintenance crew of the Royal Thai Air force, as they are the nearest user of this fine piece of fighter aircraft. Climate, I think, is controlled by the world’s biggest polluters and not your air conditioner. If however you do get it fixed and they find some connection between the the dial on the dashboard and our current weather anomalies, please stop playing with it and leave it set at a comfortable 23 degrees Celsius thanks.

There’s a good place on Bells Line of Road, but since they left town they only deal in 78 Saabs.

While Latin Motors aren’t bad, the best SAAB mechanic in Canberra is Andrew De Jong – 38 Raws Crs Hume 6260 1606

Hi
Just take it to NATRAD in Phillip.
They are usually really good, and that is most likely all dealers will do (after adding their cut).

I have re-gassed 4 cars with them. and it has always been under $300 including replacement seals.

– they will sus it out for you and give you an Idea as to what is wrong. maybe check all the fuses first. – and try turning it off and on again 🙂

Latin Motors in Fyshwick ( http://www.latinmotors.com.au/ ) is the best SAAB place around. ph 6280 5586

Presuming you mean a 9-5 not the 95 from the 1970s? No air coming from you vents is probably the cabin fan motor. They are notorious for failing. You’ll be happy to know SAAB can hook you up with one for around $1,250 (that is not a mistake).

Alternatively, you can order one on Ebay from the US for around $200: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Heater-fan-blower-motor-SAAB-9-5-1999-2005-5331236-/360409743850?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item53ea1841ea

Easy choice really.

Ike in Phillip does SAAB mechanicals.

Only place that didn’t screw up our old 9-3.
