Satis at Watson shops is an excellent place to drag your hangover for weekend brunch.

The exterior is a touch pokey, around a dog-leg from the IGA, but inside it is cool, inviting, and very dim.

There is an extensive wine rack, there are around 10 spirits and three of them are gin (Hendricks, Bombay, and Tanqueray but of course) the menu is heavy on vegan but they do a top notch scrambled eggs.

I had three bean chilli. It was light and delicious and satisfying with a hint of fire.

The service is friendly and engaging and made us feel welcome.

Two mains and two beers gave change from $40.

Goosepig and I will be going back.

That’s not a brunch review!! We need details of each dish including the texture, appearance, flavour profile and value for $$…men, pfft.

At any rate, it may be the dim lighting but it doesn’t look that appetising (esp for brunch).

The photo really doesn’t do the food justice. It was so yummy (and I am a very fussy eater).

OK fair enough…I get a bit twitchy around lunchtime (and am food obsessed anyway) 🙂

The idea of JB at a largely vegan place made me smile.

Usually it’s a question of spot the vegetable in the photos accompanying his reviews.

Good to know, I’ve been curious as to what they’re like since they opened a few months ago.
