Dear Rioters,

Does anybody have any information about the prescribing of schedule 8 drugs in the ACT?

i.e. can a GP doctor prescribe under any circumstances – including if one’s specialist is not available to prescribe etc.

Is there any other doctor who is authorised to prescribe schedule 8?

Thank you in advance.

Dexi’s work. They have side effects and who wants to be muted all the time just to fit in with your notions of acceptable. They do help with placing one thought after another in a series of thoughts that can be actioned. Thanks for the druggie association. Strange how illness and drugs go hand in hand. I’ve lost interest now. Look a squirrel.

Peer reviewed articles are only as good as the peers that review them. And even then, some pretty contentious stuff only gets published so that the wider community of peers get a chance to read it.

Gee, Canberra had a cold winter, look out for the ice age! Oh, you say, a change in Canberra’s climate isn’t representative of the globe?

Peer reviewed sources can, and do say whatever they like – whether they are sponsored by certain groups with an agenda or are trying to control public policy.

Is Riot-Act not a peer-reviewed source?

ADHD is caused by bad parents – let’s ban them.

I used to think the same, until I dealt with a kid who had been diagnosed with ADHD. In his case, it was way beyond just naughty behaviour.

Having said that, in my (layman’s) opinion, ADHD is over-diagnosed.

I’ve thought it is too easy to get a breeding licence for a long time.

Let’s start with banning those.

There is “a suggestion” that ADHD does not exist, should we ban kids?

ElleCeleste is really David Tucker, do I get a prize?

Haha. Explains a lot.

Dexamphetamine users generally fall into one of two groups.

1. Kids of parents who have never attempted to control them, then blame the fake disease ADHD for their behaviour

2. Druggies who are using it as a cheap alternative to buying speed – very cheap at $5.40 for a couple of hundred tablets.

Dexamphetamine should be banned altogether – it has no purpose.

Why would you need dexamphetamine?

Probably because the oxycontin has become too hard to get.

Why not simply ask your GP or ring ACT Health ….

like they’d know anything we don’t…

I don’t know what the schedule numbers etc are, but I had my GP prescribe something one time, she had to ring up and give some details of the scrip and get a authorisation code.

Any GP can legally prescribe it, but they’ll only do it in extreme circumstances (i.e., you can’t see your specialist and you’ve run out and need an emergency script).
