School Holiday Workshops

Learn some new tricks or a secret skill from the experts! Join us just for a day or a whole week of school holiday fun.

11 – 15 January 2016 | 10am – 12pm

Suitable for ages 8 to 12 years

Cost: $20 per workshop, or all five workshops for $80

Monday 11 JanuaryImprovisational theatre with Impro ACT
Do you have a budding actor in your family dying to be on stage and in the spotlight? This workshop will get your little actor jamming their theatrical juices.

Tuesday 12 January

Calligraphy with Canberra Calligraphers’ Society
Be introduced to the ancient art of calligraphy in this hands-on workshop by members of the Canberra Calligraphers’ Society.

Wednesday 13 January

Puppetry (and puppet show) with PuppetOOdle
Renowned Australian puppeteer Marianne Mettes will show you how to bring puppets to life and create a puppet show!

Thursday 14 January

Storytelling with ACT Storytellers’ Guild
Learn how to share your stories from an accredited ACT Guild storyteller and be inspired by the Magnified: 12 years of the Waterhouse Natural Science Art Prize exhibition.

Friday 15 January

Circus arts with Warehouse Circus
Fancy running off to join the circus? Try your hand at juggling, hula hoops, diabolo, plate spinning, poi and trick sticks, and more at this fun-filled workshop.
