menace to society

You’d think they’d learn. You’d think with all the outrage over their disregard for the rule of law and common decency Canberra’s cyclists would show more regard for their fellow human beings.

But no! They’re incorrigible!

Citizens of Canberra! They are mocking us!

I have absolutely no problem with cyclists chaining or locking their cycles to poles in fact all bicycles should be chained or locked to poles, as that’s the only way to keep them off the road and stop them from committing suicide. Many cyclists fail to believe the adage that MIGHT IS RIGHT.

Welcome to RA Pete74au, a little tip for you, if you are going to troll you may want to disguise it a little better. All the fishies can see the hook.

That’s right, all cyclists are – without exception – evil people.

That would make sense…. yesty apparently being the winter solstice or some such, the cyclist was probably off preparing a black mass or something.

Fluoro hi-vis mass I think you’ll find.

I thought this was a sarcastic joke acording to the orginal post. According to most of the responses – it isn’t.

I don’t know which posts you’re reading if you can’t tell that the majority of responses are just as sarcastic as the post? Mind you, there are the token few posts that are serious.

Hard to tell where the crime is unless you can see if the rider is wearing lycra or not.

Some people are taking this post- an obvious attempt at humour – way too seriously.

How can you make light of the scourge of Canberra by simply passing the story off as “humour”?!?

These people with a penchant for expansive and garish outfits should be treated like the pedal pushing freaks they are.

Instead of allowing them to align the upper echelons of our Nations public service, they should be chained and broken, forced to ride energy generating exercise bikes in the basement of your local Centrelink office.

I’ve never seen a cyclist show anything vaguely considered ‘common decency’ in this town.

That’s right, all cyclists are – without exception – evil people. It must be some sort of gigantic conspiracy by Shimano to slowly disintegrate the moral fibre of Western Society and institute a one world government through the resulting chaos.

That or you’re full of sh1t.

We should teach this parking cheater of a cyclist a lesson by lifting it over the pole and putting it on the nearest pole on a pedestrian island in the middle of the road.

It’s clearly public art. The real question: does the bike belong to johnboy?

I’m a cyclist but caught a bus to work today. When a lady got on the bus I offered her my seat. Guess I just blew your theory about decency out of the water

That is clearly an addition to a Heritage Protected dwelling and not in fitting with the cultural significance or historical values of the area.

TAMS and ACTPLA should launch an investigation and prosecute the offender(s) to the fullest extent possible under law.

I assert that the bike was legally parked, the sign probably doesn’t apply seeing as the bike is not parked on the road. Also the photo was probably taken after 6pm or before 7am, when the sign doesn’t apply.

Yeah, looks like it was taken in the dark.

Ha! Good one.

The inner north has dazzlingly bright street lights you see.

It’s the sun shining out the assholes of the inner north residents. Just ask them.

How far is the nearest bike stand (courtesy ACT government) ???

Well, as a bike thief wannabe, I find it disappointing that the owner has taken it upon herself to chain the bike o the ploe thereby depriving me of a quick $20 on AllClassies to fund my poker habit. Typical bloody cyclist.
