ScreenACT gets given to business

Our Brave Leader has announced that the troubled ScreenACT has been oursourced to the Canberra Business Council, probably in the hope that they’ll take the money and stop complaining. (Here at RiotACT we eagerly await being given money to stop complaining too).

“ScreenACT is an industry development initiative that is designed to foster the screen-based and creative digital sectors in the ACT…

It is expected the new service will start next month.

No word on what we’re paying the Canberra Business Council to encourage people to do what they were doing anyway.

Hmmm…interesting innuendos here. And are these self-serving villains also involved with the Canberra Business Council, beggar artist?

someone should have a good hard look at the film related funding that has gone to members of the ACT film & TV council (which many of the larger local production companies are not part of) over the last few years through ArtsACT (including to companies that do not even live or operate in the ACT)- in concert with a good hard look at the members of the film & tv council that are on the ArtsACT grant assessment committees…
