ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery that occurred at the 5-Star Supermarket, Scullin Place, Scullin yesterday (Wednesday, April 4) evening.
About 7.55pm, a man armed with a knife entered the supermarket and demanded cash while threatening the cashier.
The cashier complied with the demand and gave the man a sum of cash which was placed into a small cooler bag. The man fled the store and was last seen running towards Keith Street.
The man is described as Caucasian, 5’6” (168cm) in height and believed to be between 30 and 40 years of age. At the time he was wearing a dark coloured jumper and tracksuit pants and had a stocking covering his face.
Anyone who may have seen a man matching the description around the Scullin Shops at the time, or may have information which could assist police with the investigation is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au.
