sea hawk

Richard sent in the above with this note:

Spotted about 2.10pm on Wednesday the 27th (today – now) a Navy Sea Hawk helicopter arrived at Burgmann Anglican School oval in Gungahlin, obviously a bit of “show and tell”.

Great to see the Defence Forces engaging with Canberra Youth.

It was in the last days of service…

Wow, so that’s what a private school education / access to well connected daddies buys you these days.

At public schools we have to endure overcrowding and demountables, while these kids get military choppers to airlift them over the notorious Gungahlin traffic and McMansion ghettoes

Seahawks are so last year!

Way older than just last year. They were meant to be replaced quite a while ago but certain things got in the way. But we have signed up for their replacements, the ‘beautiful’ (named, anyway) Romeos (MH-90R).

Seahawks are so last year. You should have seen the US Navy’s P-8A Poseidon that was on display for Defence staff at Fairbairn last week. Now that’s a cool bit of kit!

Nice to see some positive stories about Defence though!

Hey Dvaey, is that a Defence helicopter, you know the ones that are part of the organisation that knows all about physics and stuff, and about flying over (and it appears into) urban area

Onward Christian Soldiers……
