If you’ve still got old stuff you haven’t managed to offload on well meaning FM radio stations in the name of bushfire relief, you’ll be thrilled to learn that this weekend will play host to Second-hand Sunday.

Mayor Stanhope has announced that it’s time to get yourself registered if you want to be on the official list of places to check out. Registrations close at 5pm Wednesday 11 February.

On the other hand last September we went out and had a look at what was on offer. It seems to work fine even for those who haven’t registered.

But go on, make TAMS happy just this once and register.

If you can’t get yourself sorted out for this one, the next will be on 19 April.

Second Hand Sunday has the effect of drawing attention to your house

Burglars, pedophiles, terrorists, oh my!

I thought hard rubbish collection was an election promise?

Can we just have a proper hard rubbish collection already! How daft that stuff not collected has to go back in the house.

Well then hooray for living at the back of a townhouse complex too 🙂

Just a warning – Second Hand Sunday has the effect of drawing attention to your house, regardless of whether what you’re putting out is cheap & basic stuff … I avoid it as a result. And I thought the requirement to put stuff within the boundaries of your own property rather than on the nature strip is rather strange …

Hooray! Time to empty the spare room!
