Secret meetings on shady statistics

The Liberals’ Jeremy Hanson is quite excited by a tacit admission that Katy Gallagher and Meredith Hunter were circling their wagons before the health statistics scandal started to break:

“It is now apparent why, after Katy Gallagher and Meredith Hunter refused to deny a secret meeting between the two of them about the scandal that occurred before the community was informed.

“Both leaders should now explain to Canberrans:
— What was discussed at the secret meeting?
— What agreements were made between the two parties?
— Do they believe it was appropriate for the Greens to be informed about this scandal before the community?

My version didn’t need fixing. Do you disagree with my comment that we need a better government than we currently have?

Unfortunately as you say, the entire LA is full of useless imbeciles who have delusions of grandeur, when they should be focusing on running the faux city council.

My bad. I read it as you taking a potshot at the government from a foaming-at-the-mouth, dyed-in-the-wool, Canberra Liberal position. Apologies.

Pathetic politicians. We need better ones, that will give us good policies, government and alternate, not snide innuendo.

There I fixed it for you.

Fixed it for both of you. If someone think anyone in the current Assembly is capable of providing inspiring leadership, they need their head examined.

It’s not a case of who’s better, more a case of who is the least worse. Unfortunately, we’ll be overwhelmed by responses from commentators who are as blind and unthinking as the parties they seek to support.

Responses deriding me for my blindness of the love and good will from the ALP/LPA/Greens in 3, 2, 1…

hahahaha Jeremy makes me laugh!

‘refuses to deny’ the oldest trick in the political playbook
‘secret meetings’ the second oldest. Who writes his material, it’s laughable.

Seriously, how can we take this opposition seriously?

The Greens and the ALP meet all the time at the Assembly level. It’s what they do as part of their Agreement/coalition.

Secret meetings my ass – they are secret because no one will tell Jeremy what they are talking about.

Pathetic opposition. We need a better one, that will give us alternative government policies, not snide innuendo from the sidelines by spoilt brats.

No, we need a better government. One that isn’t full of incompetence and stupidity.

Gee is this the best the Canberra Liberals can come up with less than 6 months out from an ACT election? The Canberra Liberals are the major alternative party in the ACT and they’re looking pretty doughy to me. Zed’s still in bed. At least we know what we can expect from an ACT Labor government, Maybe the Canberra Liberals should stop whingeing, stop treating Canberrans like total morons and update their website and tell us how they would do things differently (it hasn’t been updated since the last election in 2008).

Whilst I cannot get too het up about ‘secret’ meetings, it is apparent that the arse covering was taking place well before the general public were made aware that s*** had happened.

Getting fed up with the way Govco are operating; always to the spin, using the Greens to disable questioning, and incompetence and stupidity rampant.

Sorry Libs. You appear equally incompetent.

May we have a good crop of Indy’s come the election.

When you read about Labor’s history, you soon realise that rather than the coalition having to win an election, they merely have to wait for Labor to lose it.
