The Canberra Gawad Kalinga (GK) Committee is facilitating a group of young people to attend the next YGAT program to be held in the Philippines from 16-30 January 2010.

YGAT, an Australian initiative, was established in 2004. Each year YGAT [Youth Great Adventure Tour] undertakes programs in developing countries.

Previous participants have one thing in common – they were all adamant that their experience ‘was life changing’.

YGAT sent more than 100 participants on international programs last year. Each year the program becomes more popular. The cost per participant is $2,500.00. Their return travel from Sydney to Manila, accommodation and food will be covered.

Experienced and mature YGAT members will accompany the participants on their trip to the Philippines. Their safety and security is assured – hundreds of youth have attended YGAT programs every year without incident. A small investment will not only be a life changing experience for a young person but will also make a practical difference to disadvantaged families in the Philippines.

If you are aware of a service club, community group, church or family who are interested in this project please contact us on ygat2010@live.com.au If you require any further information or would like GK Canberra to make a presentation also contact us at ygat2010@live.com.au
