There’s lightning here in South Tuggers.

About time we had a spell of rain.

Just got an absolute cracker racing along north of me! Went across the Kowan Forest area. Constant rumbling thunder, and a super lightshow of lightning rippling across the sky, spearing down into the earth and spreading horizontally. No rain here though.

seems like it’s building up to be a belter right now..

It’s a common occurrence… the actual storm warnings are usually only issued less than an hour before it actually happens.

Although, for the one really severe storm we’ve had here recently, the warning was issued pretty much as it hit – not much forewarning there 🙂
(I’m not being critical – I happened to be watching the radar at the time and the supercell literally appeared from nothing in the space of 10 minutes – quite amazing to watch).

Forewarned is forearmed. I think the advice has a place- they don’t always amount to nothing.

These warnings are issued regularly during the thunderstorm seasons… don’t really see much point in putting them up here?? They’re usually issued right before the event anyway.

The warning came out at 3.15, but didn’t get on here til it was nearly cancelled.

And just once again: Just so you don’t need Thumper or I to come round to your place, make sure you follow this advice

Warning’s been cancelled as of 6:39 – good guess Lilli 🙂

If only they’d also mentioned to carry an umbrella – I wouldn’t have got wet.

Now that the warning is out, the storm will disappear in all of half an hour!!
