Severe weather warning

The ACT State Emergency Service (ACTSES) would like to remind people to take necessary precautions today as the strong winds are expected to continue across the territory.

The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a severe weather warning for the ACT due to strong winds expected to increase today.

ACTSES has crews on standby if assistance is required and has so far received no calls for assistance.

For emergency damage assistance call the ACTSES on 132 500.

I noticed a couple of large gums had been blown over in the Kingston area during last week’s winds. I guess that’s two dangers removed ahead of today’s weather.
