Shane lines up Ron McLeod to audit Zed's timesheets

Whatever the rights and wrongs turn out to be, this is a good choice. Ron McLeod is absolutely non-partisan, experienced, thorough and fair. Less likely to blow out the work and the schedule as some lawyers, judges etc might, so this should be over sooner rather than later. Really, the only issue is whether there is a sound basis for the ACT to be satisfied it received value for the money it paid for the staff of Assembly members and that’s less complicated than it looks. (Shall resist urge to troll about what staff allocation should be sufficient in the first place).

I’m not trying to get into the whole ‘Zed was illegally wrong/Who cares about timesheets’ debate, but I can see this now costing us at least the amount suspected of being rorted to sort it out!
