Sheer blithering incompetence costs the Brumbies a chance at top finals spots

One can only hope tonight’s miserable effort by the Brumbies, going down 15-21 to the Force, will be a wakeup call for finals football.

But it was bloody awful.

UPDATE: Foxsports has details if you’re into that sort of thing.

The whole team feeling that George Smith vs Richard Hibbard collision?

In someways I reckon it was better for the Brumbies to come 3rd, I think coming second and getting the week off would be worse for them. The reason being the stupidity where the regular season was stopped for weeks, and representative players out for camp for another couple of weeks.

Getting some game time together as a team will help.

Besides the Bulls are probably in worse shape. Big loss and a week off and will face the Brumbies if they win. Only advantage here is it will be at home, and of course the Brumbies are playing on Sunday so not much recovery time.

The Brumbies simply expected to turn up and get the points, sadly more than a few of the players had that attitude.
From the outset there were those that still had their heads stuck in last-weeks debacle against the Lions. Which showed in their zombie like play. It will take a miracle to reverse the shocker at the hands of the Western Force, I for one don’t think the Brumbies can do it. They ought to start working on their recruiting for next year with the number 9 from the Western Force the main target as he destroyed the Brumbies on his own.

Hopefully they just got their annual poor performance out of the way before the finals. I haven’t seen that many handling errors & dumb penalties since the infamous, 2011 season.

WTF *was* that last night?!? Trying to set a record for errors?
Poor buggers. Not exactly the best lead up to the finals. Plus I understand they lost ~$500,000 by not coming 2nd?

All the best next Sunday!! Hope they can somehow bounce back, but surely no one could reverse that level of poor form in a week? Nevertheless, I’ll be there to see them prove me wrong! 🙂

watching the game last night i was left wondering if any of these guys had ever played together before

and if they had was it rugby that they had played?
