This is a short film (7 mins) filmed & produced by a local Canberran. Please check it out & share, like & comment!!

Falcon Convertible is a short film about two Australian brothers who overcome natural obstacles in pursuit of fun. There is no dialog in the film and the action paints a picture of what Aussie boys do for kicks in the bush.

I love the gear stick part where it snaps off and he pokes the stump!

One of the factory fitted faults in XF Falcons………

I quite liked the improvised door handle/latch at the start, too – about 1000000 times less likely to fail than the stock door handle assembly…

They were shocking, the doors used to sag causing the handles to be overloaded & break. They had the weakest body of any Falcon model. Whenever I used to put them up on a two post hoist the body would flex that much that you could not open the doors. The wagons were especially bad because they were long wheel base.

I will never forget lifting the bonnet on an XD one day and it literally fell of in my hands. The hinge runners had rusted away inside the A pillar, caused quite a bit of damage and the customer wasnt happy even though it wasn’t my fault.

beautifully shot…

Top film, hope to see it on the festival circuit.

Taken from facebook “Critics everywhere are saying: ‘a masterpiece’ – ‘classic cinema at its finest’ – ‘one for the ages’. If you see just one movie this year … see FALCON CONVERTIBLE! In limited release … rated M: for manly”

Pretty amazing since it was all shot on a DSLR. Don’t forget to click on the ‘like’ button and share with your friends!

Filmed on the South Coast with soundtrack by fellow Canberran, Owen Campbell & The Davidson Bros from Victoria.

That was brilliant and having owned an xf they were pretty much indestructible although in slightly better condition than that one 🙂

A real bushy would of loped off the roof with an axe.

Some mates of mine did the very same thing with a lime green Gemini back in the 90’s and then proceeded to drive it to the local shops where they ended up getting a defect from a cop who happened to be driving by.
The defect notice simply said:
“Car has no roof. Sharp and jagged edges.”
I think the guy who owned the Gemini framed the defect notice and it’s hanging on his wall.

Hope they didn’t use a shotgun on it too!!!!!
Classic
