Andrew Barr has announced the final five companies bidding to build office space for the Gungahlin ACT public service building:

Following the Registration of Interest process for the construction of the Gungahlin Office Block, I am pleased to announce that five of Canberra’s largest developers have been shortlisted and invited to participate in the Request for Tender process.

The local firms are KDN Group, Capital Property Group, Amalgamated Property Group, Doma Australia Holdings Pty Ltd and Landco Pty Ltd.

Being sent to Gungahlin for their sins are 500 souls from ACT Government Shared Services.

Those listed now need to send in proposals for the building.

Stupid idea,
10 years time most people will be working from home most days a week.
+ Adds extra time for anyone not in Gungarlin.. which is mostly everyone.

Moving to gungarlin will mean that those that are proficient at their job will quit and work elsewhere do to the inconvience of moving to gunners! Being in civic will make the job more attractive to most. Obiviously the person who decided this lives in belconnen. Rather than that other end of town that is always overlooked by the local government.

“Those listed now need to send in proposals for the building.”

… along with their ‘donation’ to the Barr south coast holiday house fund… Hahahaha!
