Noticed the old yellow double decker bus parked in the carpark on Girrahween Street in Braddon was showing signs of life yesterday evening.

Could Braddon be getting its next hip and hot food venue?

someone repainted the bus yellow the other day

wither dolly’s, eh?

Seem to remember lurching around the van waiting for a feed in the early hours of the late 70’s.

I saw a couple of dudes opening-up the bus around lunchtime earlier this week.
I was on my treadly, so didn’t have time to give it a good looking-over. It looked-like they’d removed about 2 cubic metres of “stuff” (rubbish, containers, cleaning products, petrified rats, kitchen equipment, etc.) out of it.

If the Draft Haig Park Master Plan is anything to go by, you could have just been seeing a final clear out prior to removal of the bus?

See page 25, last dot point in section 6.2.2 Recommendations for access and circulation…

“Speci?c recommended actions:

Remove the Mandalay Bus in car park 11. It is unsightly, rarely used and using multiple car park spaces.”

Also see figure 10 on page 38, which has a note that says “Remove Mandalay bus”
