It shouldn’t be that hard to negotiate with volunteers.

Bill Stefaniak is gloating that talks have broken down between Simon Corbell and the volunteer brigade captains who protect Canberra from bushfires.

I’m sure Simon’s got a cunning plan.

I think you’ll find the mass resignation was aimed at getting the govt’s attention because they hadn’t been listened too. It worked, but it seems that govt. still won’t really listen. Maybe they’re consulting!

What brigade captains? Didn’t they all resign?

The mass resignation was a great way to get the attention of the populace and the assembly, but are the captains now expecting to be included as part of the management process when they’ve clearly said they were resigning from such a position?

Can’t wait to see what it is.
