Yes indeed, the enlarged ice rink has returned to Garema Place for another winter of wonder.

For sessions times and to buy your tickets hit the website up.

Just remember last year the popular sessions booked out fast.

Changes this year include:

    — Bigger skating rink with improved design

    — Family tickets now available

    — General skating sessions and ice shows

    — Fashion Shows

    — Movies

    — Party Lounge for hire – for bookings please call 0427 630 865

    — Children under 5 skate free when accompanied by a paying adult

    — Cultural Sundays, featuring USA, Scandinavia, India, Germany and others

Here’s a good look at the size of the rink:

I tried it today, it’s much bigger than last year, the ice holds up better during the day, and I had a great time.

Looks great at night with the blue lights, creates a lot of nice atmosphere… went there yesterday.

On positive note, this type of thing is great for Canberra. Hopefully it continues to grow, larger area, longer opening hrs etc…

I couldn’t skate even when clutching a Penguin of Shame. Sad really.

🙂

Don’t stress, you’re not the only one!

Seconded. *I* love the idea, my balance nor my my wrists, knees, tailbone and all other breakables do not.

It doesn’t look that much bigger really. slightly wider, maybe.

trust me, much bigger. remember it’s a square power, a couple of metres here and there really multiply up.

And the perspex sidings give a greatly improved sense of space.

I’m sure there’ll be someone there who will volunteer to hold your hand and give you a few pointers and you’ll be pirouetting in no time!
