It was about 6 years ago. My wife and I had our phones, I dunno about the spectators. Whether they did or not, they were too gormless to do anything useful.

i regularly see ambulances going into the woden stack park.

Those skate parks really are death traps aren’t they? Have you seen the new Belconnen park? There are metal corners everywhere to get f***ed up on.

When my kids were little I took them to a skate park somewhere in Gungahlin. We arrived on the scene moments after a teenage boy had done a face plant into the concrete. He was semi-conscious, and was being stared at by some of his useless friends. Three of his teeth were lying on the ground, and blood was pouring from his mouth and nose.

We collected the teeth, mopped blood, kept him warm, comforted him, made sure he didn’t choke etc etc, and eventually the ambos arrived and took him and his teeth away, hopefully to be reunited.

We haven’t done a lot a skate park hot-dogging since then. I really can’t afford the hospital and dental bills.
