Skyfire Moron

Thumbs down to the tosser who parked on the footpath, just at the entrance to the southern side of the Commonwealth Ave bridge.

Made thousands of people have to walk into oncoming traffic to exit the event, including myself and my family. Didn’t see a parking ticket, but maybe I should follow this up seeing as you can read the plate in my mobile photo……BJ32AD – silver hatchback, eastern side of Comm Ave.

This was a dangerous situation but what can you do about some dumb P-plater like this apart from “two-bob” their paint job [tempting as it was…]

Should I tell the cops?? What would they do anyway?

If you don’t like it don’t go.

They are giving you a free show. Get it out of your head that you deserve the world on a plate for nothing.

The AFP was a sponsor of skyfire as well, why don’t you ask them the question?

What about Club Lime, Canberra Milk, ACTEWAgl and McDonalds.

People like you really do make me sick.

It is not any of the sponsors or organisers faults that Canberran’s as a whole are whinging morons who want everything for free and complain when something is given for free it isn’t to their liking. GET OVER YOURSELF PEOPLE!

Are you stupid ? Did you actually read what I wrote ?

I didn’t go to this event. I was driving …on Parkes Way.

I don’t want a free show or anything on a plate.

I want to be able to drive on a main road without some goon causing a road hazard to myself and others.

If Club Lime or 104.7 or whoever want to put on what is basically a profile raising tax deduction, fine, let them, I don’t really care.

But they can pay for the added event management security that is usually required as well. ( read the Police reports )

Or what, you expect the taxpayer to cough up for it all ?? …and you want to to lecture me about entitlement culture ?

Before bothering to comment again, could you please ask someone very patient to explain this to you, it is apparently a little complex.

STOLEN CAR said :

…and thumbs down to the idiot pouring what was left of his drink onto cars travelling on Parkes Avenue from the footbridge from ACTON Park to the Lakeside Hotel…do we have to wait for someone to drop a bottle onto a car at 80km/hr before something is done to prevent this sort of crap ?

Suggestion – FM 104.7 can for pay either extra Police or Private Security to cover the event more comprehensively

waiting for a reply from you 104.7 !

There are people whinging that they sat in an area that was rowdy, or crowded, or they had to line up to get food blah blah blah, FFS! You have more people lined up at Bruce stadium for their beers and people are paying $40 a head to get in there…

I’m not sure the Police would do, nor be able to do, much at all… However, the image you got on your mobile might be worth at least a follow-up/warning to the owner from them… You could do worse than to go into the nearest station and ask if it is worth reporting.

Unfortunately, careless, thoughtless people also live here, and are among the one in three people living here that likely attended… Like those that turned up minutes before the event and stood in front of us, having been set up there since 5pm…

Deflate the tyres

I agree wild turkey – dob them in – we had the same issue on the north side of the bridge – I was amazed at the lack of police or security at these major pedestrian exits.

SkyFire is a mess through and through. The crowds, the appalling queues, etc. I have read in another thread about this so-called “fireworks display”. See http://the-riotact.com/rant-about-skyfire-disorganisation/40852
