The Canberra Times reports that the two ADFA cadets charged over the Skype sex scandal have plead not guilty in the ACT Magistrates Court.

Cadets Daniel McDonald, 19, and Dylan De Blaquiere, 18, were charged with using a carriage service in an offensive manner after McDonald secretly filmed himself having sex with a female cadet, and broadcast the images to other cadets via the internet, using popular chat program Skype.

McDonald was also charged with committing an act of indecency on the female cadet without her consent.

How’s that presumption of innocence going kiddies?

You all seem to know the most intimate details of the matter though.

NFI what you’re talking about

Point taken.

I have a very beautiful daughter (dunno how that happened, given the way I look) who is only about a year younger then the young woman involved in this event. I feel very protective of her, and I tend to view stories like this with a “How would I feel if this happened to her?” bias, which generally results in clenched teeth, angry muttering and raised blood pressure.

I’ll take my tar off the fire, and attempt to return the feathers to the chickens until they are needed.

Well said – must say that my first response to this story was that I’d happily guard the door for them while they did it. Human emotion is a tough thing to put aside. I saw these guys on the TV and they looked ‘smug’ and aloof – as if the whole thing was ‘too beneath them’ to answer for.

Oh stuff it, I’ll still guard the door for them if they want to go ahead……………………………

Given this weather, the chickens would probably appreciate it 😉 lol

I had a laugh at their lawer yesterday, he was rabbiting on about the incorrect media reports about the pair. Aparrently it was unfairly tarnishing their reputations………

Well, the media seem to have taken the same stance as some here …… being the judge, jury and executioner !!!!! As vg said, something about a presumption of innocence. If and when, they are proven guilty, then break out the tar and feathers.

Daniel and Dylan should really go into the officers mess with their service revolvers and one round each.

Come off it! Nobody was harmed, just a few female journos got their knickers in a twist. What this case demonstrates is that the battleground of political correctness and feminist politics in the 21st Century is far worse than anything on the military battlefield.

Please posts naked pics/video of your wife on the web (don’t tell her though) so we can all have a good laugh at her. Who cares what she thinks or feels about it, right?!

Holy Hell! What they did was bad, but really!?! This offence was a really stupid, stupid mistake on their part, but they hardly deserve to die at their own hands for it… it’s little worse than Monaghan-worthy…

If my kids ever did anything this stupid, I would certainly be there to support them… ashamed and disappointed; but supportive…

It was reported on TV that during their court appearances they appeared to have no family members or friends supporting them. It would appear that even their parents are ashamed of them. This is unsurprising.

Can we set up a webcam and skype it to all their mates?
