Sneaky hotel thief brought to book

The Age has a funny story of a Canberra man finally brought to justice after allegedly checking himself into seven hotels and hitting the minibar before making away on his toes without settling the bill.

I had no idea it was even possible to get a key without giving a credit card impression.

It’s that little tippy toe trot the thieves do in their stripey “jail” outfits and black eye masks in all the cartoons when they’re up to no good … you know! Sort of pink panthery. It makes this kind of tinkly noise. You know!! Here, use your imagination while I demonstrate!

Hang on, hang on. “Making away on his toes”…. his TOES?! I’ve never heard it expressed like that before.

Reminds me of a Swiss instructor I knew years ago, who complained that the uniform left you with a “humid bum” when it rained.

People like this fascinate me. They seem to almost never get interviewed, however.

HAHAHAH it might be $23,000 stuff out of the mini bars but if he had of got the equal amount form woolworths it would of been $ 17.50
