Oooh!

Many coveted it, our own Johnboy included, but only one lucky Canberran could win the C100 number plate. That lucky Canberran happens to be Stefan Jeremenko.

Mr Jeremenko placed the winning bid of $9350 as the online auction went into ‘sniper time’ for ten minutes after the scheduled closing time of 4pm yesterday (Monday).

Bidding went from $6000 to $9350 in that time. There were a total of 28 bids since the auction opened on 2 May with a reserve price of $500.

The number plate, one in a series of one hundred produced for the Centenary of Canberra, was auctioned online by PicklesPlus. All proceeds of the auction go to the official Centenary charity, Dollars for Dili.

Mr Jeremenko, who has a commercial building maintenance business, will put the C100 plates on his Toyota Prado.

“I’m very happy to help Dollars for Dili – it’s a very worthwhile charity.”

So far the centenary has raised over $85,000 for Dollars for Dili.

Is that an ACTEW truck?

F*^king Mark Sullivan!

That’s funny, especially if he and Mackay were bidding against each other.

That’s not a Prado.

UPDATE: We got a picture. It does look kinda nice I guess.

Far too ostentatious on a Prado.Would’ve blended in nicely on a Ford ef/el station wagon and increased the value of the car tenfold 🙂

Regular numberplates would do that 😉

Well done Stefan!

I assume they’ll be affixed with a welder?

Yes, I was wondering if the plate comes with a 24/7 ninja security team.
