kevin rudd memorial service

As seen in Civic today.

It seems some wags are holding a memorial service for Kevin Rudd this Friday noon on Federation Mall (aka the Parliamentary Protest area).

Who would do such a thing? What do you think?

I suspect the Kevin Rudd memorial service is organised by...

I want a PM who says to pissy little back benchers “I don’t care what you f—ers think!”. I want a prime minister who is intelligent, articulate and willing to take control of situations and get sh*t done. IMHO, K Rudd was exactly this type of PM. I don’t care that he could be a right c—. I haven’t met him or had to work for him. All I know is that I would rather that he was still our serving PM. I miss that c—!

I have it on rather good authority that the posters have come from a true believer.

For God’s sake. Kevin Rudd was one of the most poisonous Prime Minister’s we have ever had. He was arrogant, egotistical, dillusional and a pig to work for.

Please tell us more. I’ve heard life in the Rudd office wasn’t great, but it’s always been fifth hand. Do you have any insights we should know about?

It’s public knowledge now but he didn’t like the ‘old hands’ to be around him. He surrounded himself with a ‘younger set’ who simply pandered to his ego whenever they needed to. As a result, the experience needed to run an office such as his was sadly lacking. It will take a long, long time to recover.

He was also a vile tempered man. Hissy fits were common, and many APS were subjected to humilating tantrums. Not a nice place to be.

There was an excellent article in yesterdays SMH reminding people of why he was ousted. His own Cabinet despised him. It was much easier to dislike him from the moment you met him – you’d get there eventually anyway and it just saved time.

I know there were rumours about his alleged micromanagement

Rumours?

The guys and girls from 34SQN hated his guts as he treated them like dirt whenever he took one of his VIP flights.

Absolutely. He treated people like dirt – and a lot of very talented people were forced to leave under his watch, which resulted in a significant loss to the APS.

Rudd has nothing to be proud of.

I like Kevin. I know there were rumours about his alleged micromanagement in his office, but *sorry* there are plenty of examples of Ministers in the previous govt who were similar.

He also had a vision for Australia and was able to communicate that to the general populace, which is sadly lacking from both the present PM and Opp leader. IMO, Labor made a big mistake ditching him. I expect ‘he’ll be back’.
