Spanner assault in Kingston

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an assault which occurred at the BP Service Station in Kingston on Wednesday, November 2.

About 6 pm, a woman was attacked by a man with a large spanner as she was putting petrol in her car. The woman was struck by the man and fell to the ground where she was continually assaulted.

The victim was able to flee and ran into the service station, with the man following her. He left shortly after.

Police believe that customers in the service station and motorists driving along Canberra Avenue about 6 pm witnessed the offence. These people are urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.

Hmm … my friend got attacked by a man wielding a spanner in Queanbeyan a few days ago. Wonder if it’s the same guy? Was the BP attacker islander?

Are you kidding me! That’s the petrol station I go to. You’d think that at 6pm there would be a few other people around…
